I had no intentions of making an entry today because we went back to Fort Funston. But, on our walk today we found a freshly dead porpoise on the beach today. This is the second in as many weeks and I found it a bit distressing. I haven't seen dead porpoise on the beach before this. I did a little research on the internet and found a place in Oregon that is studying the increase in the number of porpoise dieing along the Washington and Oregon coast line. I contacted them and found out the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito is doing the same thing.
I really worry about what we are doing to the Planet and can't help but think the increase is due to our actions. It's enough to really bring me down.

Often, the impact on the environment starts or happens on the other side of the world. Every action an individual takes to improve the planet, however, is a step in the right direction.
while I may not have deep thoughts, I am peeking in!!
Did I ever tell you I love Vizslas? Almost got one several years ago!

All caught up with reading you blog entries! Ahh, a cup of coffee and Pam's blog. Nice...
I try to do what I can for the environment - although I know I could do much more. I agree with Sylvia - "every action an individual takes"...I strive to be "comfortably uncomfortable" at the least. (Vegan plug ahead) By the way, do you realize how Earth friendly veganism is? Check it out!
I know, I know, I am working on being a vegetarian. I am not sure I can do the vegan thing. I am afraid I love my leather shoes.
Leather shoes??? What about the leather dog collars and leads :)

Hi Kate-With my dogs and the way they like to roll in things...leather collars and leads just don't work. :-)
