Dog Show Blues turn to Beach Gifts

Well suffice it to the show didn't quite go as I would have liked. I was a bit steamed. So off to the beach we went. The weather was beautiful. I wish I could accurately describe the color of the water because it was amazing. We were also given a gift of seeing a group of porpoises. It was really cool. Watching them swim and jump made me take a step back and realize how insignificant the results of the dog show were. I like when I am given these gifts. I left the beach feeling much more serene. Double click on the pictures that look like ocean only. They will enlarge and you will get a glimpse of the porpoises. Sure wish I had a bigger telephoto lens.

Pam, the pictures of your dogs and the beach are beautiful. We don't have a lot of ocean pictures here in the midwest. I love the dolphins, too. Glad you can relax after a frustrating day at the office :)

Hey Staci-Glad you finally chimed in. I am really lucky to be in a place that has so much diversity of beauty. It's because of this that I can wash away frustrations of the job. I telling you...you should move here. :-)

Actually both the owners AND the dogs get uptight at the dog shows. Taking the dogs for a fun run after the show gives them a good time after the stress of the show and leaves them with a fun experience at the end of the day. I have seen this stress and canine focus/commitment several times in my own dogs. They really DO know what is going on and what their part is. The dog and the handler are a team, and the owner (when different) gives the dog the best food, exercise and mental conditioning possible. Pam's dogs have had the best of all of that and will soon be in the winner's circle again.

Keep saying stuff like that Walter and I may start to believe it. :-)
